چکیده

ABSTRACT: Peach palm is a domesticated commercially important for the production of fruits and hearts palm. Somatic embryogenesis, an effective technique mass propagation, was successfully established this species. Furthermore, temporary immersion system improved plant regeneration. However, can be further by understanding peach palm’s growth dynamic modifications culture media. The aims study were to evaluate plantlets cultured in different media correlate results with nutrient uptake during period. embryo-derived young approximately 1 cm length cultivated 12 weeks twin flask containing MS, Y3 or N6 salts, Morel Wetmore vitamins 3% sucrose, monthly medium refreshment. Growth measured mineral analysis carried out after culture. MS salts most appropriate growth. Number roots 52.52% higher root size 40.42% between number 37.74% greater than medium, which post acclimatization survival. K Na are elements N not required at such high concentration as Murashige Skoog formulation. Chu (N6) did generate quality plantlets, possibly due absence some micronutrients, like Mo, Cu Co.

In Vitro Propagation of Damask Rose Using the Temporary Immersion System

For centuries, Damask rose has been one of the most popular species of the rose family. Damask rose can be propagated using vegetative methods such as micropropagation. In this research, the use of temporary immersion system was reported for the first time for Damask rose micropropagation. For this reason, a traditional temporary immersion system was designed to facilitate its micropropagation....

Growth rate assessment of high lipid producing microalga Botryococcus braunii in different culture media

The green colonial microalga, Botryococcus braunii is well known for its high lipid content and has already been proposed as a renewable energy source for various aquaculture and biotechnological applications. However, due to its slow growth rate compared with other microalgae, B. braunii has not yet been used in mass culture to produce more biomass. Therefore, in this study we tested different...

Domestication of Peach Palm in Southwestern Amazonia

The peach palm (Bactris gasipaes Kunth) is the only Neotropical palm domesticated by Native Americans. Its place of origin as a crop (B. gasipaes var. gasipaes) has been debated for more than a century, with three hypotheses currently in discussion: southwestern Amazonia; northwestern South America; or multiple origins in the distribution of the wild relatives (B. gasipaes var. chichagui). The ...

Using Insects\' Body Powder as a Complementary Growth Factor in Fungal Culture Media

Introduction: Nutritional requirements of fungi are essential for their successful growth in laboratories. Some fungi feed on the compounds present in the insects' bodies. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of insects' body powder (IBP) as a supplement for the fungi growth in culture media. Methods: We used 10 mg of IBP, obtained from Anopheles superpictus and Culex theileri mosqu...
